"Orc"'s offcut offerings offer an overtly orchestrated yet orderly and ongoing bassline with overwrought, frenetic, drum beats and an ominous recorder (used to open and close-off) the krauty overture known as 'Dead Medic' on Side A, and a slow, sluggish, spaced-out and soothing cover of 'A Few Days Of Reflection' by "Träd, Gräs och Stenar" on Side B.
This pertains to any prog fans who were passionately presupposing another holiday 12" would appear; they were precise in their approximations. Xtra Happy
For what is effectively an outtakes album (the first three tracks being from the sessions for 'Face Stabber'), "Metamorphosed" doesn't fuck about in any sense of the word.
Said first three tracks get your shit pumping hard; 'Saigant' especially is a god-tier starter. The following 37 minutes after that (moreso alluding to 'I Got A Lot' here) is purely "yeah, we love CAN; here's our take on a Tago Mago-style jam".
Two complete polar opposite extremes, and yet they work together magnificently. Xtra Happy
